8 feet! Happy New Year 2005!
The Angus cabin is just what I expected. It is quietly tucked into the West side of Donner Lake. This weekend received 8 feet of snow. I couldn't help think about the Donner Party. The berms on the road were over 6 feet after being snow-blowed. On Monday we skiied Homewood. Quail Park was an unexpected hike but it was STEEP and BOTTOMLESS! My new Machete skis performed better than I could have imagined. Thank You Shane McConkey!Next day we used our free tickets to Heavenly from the Warren Miller film "Impact" we attended in San Rafael. Heavenly is OK if you have free tickets. Otherwise, I would suggest avoiding it and going to Kirkwood!
